Coalition Purpose

The Coalition for the Preservation of the Lanterman Act, representing the major stakeholders in California's community based developmental services system, including The Arc of California, the Association of Regional Center Agencies, Autism Society of California, the California Alliance for Inclusive Communities, The California Rehabilitation Association, California Supported Living Network, People First of California, Protection and Advocacy, Inc., the Service Employees International Union, Society of Community Carehome Operators, the California Family Resource Center Network, organized around a common commitment to save the Lanterman Act.  The following is a list of the four commitments that align this coalition with a common purpose:

The Five Commitments

1. Do not suspend the Lanterman Act.
2. No categorical elimination of services.
3. No enrollment caps or waiting lists.
4. No reduction in IHSS, CCS or the Healthy Families Programs
5. Endorses the Community Imperative
